Service Description

In this workshop, you’ll use pattern and color from fabrics such as men’s silk ties or scarves to dye wool fabrics, creating interesting colors & designs. Jazz up a plain woolen garment or tired woolen textiles. Participants should bring the following supplies: - 2 X gallon [4 L.] jugs of water - A dishpan or bucket for rinsing projects - 2 x plastic bags [25 litre “kitchen catcher” size] - Optional: thinner, light-colored wool fabrics, colorful old silk fabrics [old ties, patterned silk blouses, scarves or fabric scraps] Heide is a versatile textile artist working in multiple disciplines on Gabriola Island.
